Projects: During 2022 I completed a summer internship as a marketing and communications intern with the Alaska SeaLife Center's Marketing and Communications Department, located in Seward Alaska. During this 3-month internship, I assisted with the design, development, and distribution of content for ASLC, including graphics, photography, and video. This included the development of plans for seasonal content, including social media posts and advertising. These designs were used at events, shared across social media, and distributed throughout the Seward community. Below are some of my favorite projects from this time!
Deliverables: digital posters, printed posters, social media graphics, event flyers
Year Designed: 2022
EXTRA FUN: A short video produced by Linfield University about my internship experience!
Project/Goal: Create four seabird sheets, detailing information about birds found in the local Seward area to be shared with visitors coming for the annual Seabird Festival.

Project/Goal: Design a captivating flyer to promote business hours and ticket sales. Then shared with local businesses and hung around the community.

Project/Goal: Design a flyer to promote community members and center visitors to complete the Plastic Free EcoChallenge during the month of July. Tasked with combining Alaska SeaLife Center branding and imagery with the established branding of the ecochallenge.org 2022 campaign.

Project/Goal: Design a series of stanchion toppers for the entrance to the center to provide information for guests while waiting in line to purchase tickets. Showcase all sides to the center - education, research, rehabilitation - through the use of the center's photo archive.

Project/Goal: Design a poster to promote pre-purchasing tickets online to the center to save money. Displayed outside the center for approaching guests or wandering tourists.

Project/Goal: Design Valentine's Day Cards for the ASLC's Adopt-an-Animal Valentine's Day packages. These graphics were used in mass membership emails (screenshots pictured) as well as social media (see Instagram Post).

Project/Goal: For my intern project, I began the creation of a new branding guidelines document, starting with the Alaska SeaLife Center logo usage. This document was then shared with my internship supervisors, who continued to add other aspects of the Alaska SeaLife Center brand once my internship ended.
