Course description: "Exploration of social media technologies, such as Facebook and Twitter, and their applications in journalism and public relations. Study of the history, function, economics, psychology, and sociology of social media as theorized by communication scholars. Hands-on experience in the planning and implementation of ethical and effective social media strategies for journalists and public relations practitioners."
